- Neroli - may reduce fear, anxiety; calming.
- Jasmine - may relive pain, tension, energize confidence.
- Lavendar - may relieve leg, head and backache, relax and calm, help induce sleep.
- Geranium - may balance emotions, circulation.
- Helichrysum - may reduce spasms, regenerate nerves, heal tissues.
- Lemon - may ease nausea, energize.
Midwifery Uses
- Clary Sage - may relieve pain and tension, begin and strengthen uterine contractions. May be useful at term.
- Rose blend - may regulate the uterus, circulation, breathing, calm, nerves, depression. May be useful in early labor.
- Neroli - may reduce fear, anxiety; calming. May be useful in transition.
- Jasmine - may relive pain, tension, shorten labor, energize confidence. May be useful in slowed labor.
- Lavendar - may ease uterine pain, relieve leg, head and backache, strengthen contractions, relax and calm. May be useful in first stage.
- Geranium - may balance emotions, circulation.
- Helichrysum - may reduce hemorrhage, spasms, regenerate nerves.
