Wake Up and Smell the Froggy

The tragedy in Waco was covered in issues 5/6 & 7/8.  I believe that I have proven that the people in the Davidian church home were deprived of their rights and wrongly attacked.  Now I have conclusive evidence that they were murdered.  I have two video tapes which show that there were not shots being fired from within the house.  None of the vehicles, which the ATF agents were hiding behind, have any broken windows or bullet holes.  And there is no dust from bullets hitting the ground around the agents.  In one of the videos a large flame can be seen coming from the gun of a tank as it withdraws from a hole in the house.  The fire that consumed the home in less than an hour was started by this tank, deliberately.  And many agents can be seen walking from the burning home.  Many have slandered these innocent people without good reason.  Don’t you understand the government is attacking small churches first.  Because if we are divided by doctrinal disagreements, we are a scattered flock.  Why do you trust the media so easily and distrust your brothers?  If you heard that I thought I was God, would you believe it without talking to me?  Would you watch and do nothing as they attacked my home?  Even if we do disagree on a doctrinal point, I could consider you a brother in Christ unless I knew firsthand that you deny Christ.

The Branch Davidians are a sect of the Seventh Day Adventists.  Did you know that John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist denomination, participated in Seventh Day Adventist meetings during his revival period?  Every denomination tends toward mediocrity as it gets older and more stable.  There are always a few live churches in it.  But often the live church is shackled by the parent denomination, until it breaks away.  If that makes you a “cult” and therefore “bad,” then we should all return to the Roman Catholic Church.

In Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus speaks of his coming in glory and the reception of two groups of people, the righteous and the unrighteous.  We must bear in mind that this is directed toward Israel before the new birth was available.  We are not saved by works, but we should have the heart and mind of Christ, walking in his compassion.  So we can learn his heart from this passage.

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV)

Most people who call the Branch Davidians a cult are basing it solely on media propaganda.  None of them know what their beliefs are.  But I did not believe the media line.  I searched every article for the grains of truth.  And I shared the truth with people.  Hoping that my efforts, along with others, might swell into a call for justice.  This should have been the shot heard around the world.  The Boston Massacre was about gun control.  How can we preach faith, love, and peace if we ignore the oppressed and believe media lies.  That is what happened in Germany.  The Nazi’s lulled the people into a complacent trance and little by little stole their freedom.

But what can we do now?  PRAY!  Pray for everyone on every side of an issue.  And do not pray as the Pharisee, “…God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.”  We must realize that we may not be doing well from God’s perspective.  We must be more humble.  After much prayer, we will know in our hearts what we must do.  Stop relying on others “more spiritual” to tell you what to do.  Get your heart and mind into God’s Word and make it your own.  Then get out there and walk in love and boldness, doing the will of your Father.

But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion for him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.  1 John 3:17, 18

Submission and Determination in the Dance

Life is a dance with the Lord; sometimes fast, sometimes slow.  Once we know the basic steps, it is time to cooperate with His leading.  We must learn to relax and let Him lead.

Dancing with the Lord, like dancing with a man, is a balance of determination and submission.  If you only submit to his leading, there is not life in the dance.  Your expression and body language whimpers, “boring!”  But when you put your heart into it; choose to use your steps in innovative ways, you begin communicating.

Each new phase of life we enter is an opportunity to expand our expression in the dance.  And when it comes to childbirth, the dance climaxes with the emergence of a new life, then returns to the enjoyable rhythm of life.  When you are pregnant, you have nine months to learn new steps and turns.  So when the labor begins, you can throw yourself into the dance with abandon.  He will not fail to lead you.  If you miss a step, it will not matter; because He will lead you on.  An experienced dancer, He can make your missteps look planned.  Praise the Lord!  And enjoy the Dance!
